HEALTH & SAFETY - OHSAS 18001
OHSAH 18001 is an international standard for Occupational Health and Safety management systems that specifies the requirements that allows an organization to control its risks and improve its H&S performance for its employees.
By implementing this Standard, a company can identify, minimize or eliminate risks for the personnel and any other party that might be exposed to hazards associated with its operations. Furthermore, the implementation of the basic principles of the Standard allows a company to monitor and continuously improve its health and safety management system, and ensure its compliance with the national legislation and the related policies.
With the OHSAS Standard, the Top Management, in addition to defining and authorizing the organization’s H&S policy, ensures that the scope of its H&S management system is a continuous and constant commitment in preventing occupational accidents and diseases, and continuous improvement.
