Toscana Aeroporti ensures airport management operations and passenger and aircraft ground handling services thanks to the use of adequately trained and constantly updated resources.   

In line with any hiring requirement, preliminary training may concern the following professional roles: 

  • Airport staff dedicated to aircraft services, ramp vehicle driving, baggage sorting
  • Airport staff dedicated to check-in, boarding, Lost&Found, flight assistance, ramp activities
  • Security staff dedicated to security checks on passengers and baggage
  • Apron staff dedicated to airside inspections, flight documentation checks, airport messaging
  • Staffing, administrative, infrastructure development employees / specialists / professionals 

Common pre-requirements: 

  • Secondary school diploma / degree in subjects related to the different professional profiles (foreign languages, aviation, engineering, architecture, business economics, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language and preferably of a second language as well
  • Willingness to work in shifts distributed throughout the whole week (for operating roles)
  • Willingness to attend preliminary training courses (for operating roles)
  • Clean criminal record.

Communications

It includes all communication activities and ensures, based on the strategies of the Top Management and Board of Directors, the development and spreading of the corporate image at national and international level.

Investor Relations

This function ensures a correct management of relationships with the national and international financial community and with supervisory boards.

Internal Auditing

It contributes to the protection of the company assets and stability, ensures a healthy and cautious management, risk mitigation and equity stability in order to allow the organization to achieve its objectives efficiently.

Accounting, Finance and Control

It ensures the management of the planning, control, accounting and administration systems, in line with the objectives laid down by the Top Management, to ensure a regular, reliable and prompt production of regulatory and consolidated financial statements. It conducts economic-financial and profitability assessments of both the company and industrial investments.

Procurement

It ensures, within the framework of the corporate purchase process, the definition of procurement policies, the preparation of the related deeds required for the signature of contracts and agreements in compliance with the applicable legislation.

Information & Communication Technology

After analysing corporate technological development requirements, this function ensures the complete and efficient operation of corporate IT services through the coordination and integration of the various IT systems of the facility.

Human Resources and Organization

This function supervises the management and development of personnel, industrial relations and corporate organization. It ensures adequate staffing according to corporate needs and the continuous development of the skills and abilities of the operating personnel, executives and middle management.

Legal Affairs & Compliance

This function provides the Top Management and Corporate Functions with legal advice and out-of-court consulting, constantly monitors regulatory changes and corporate compliance issues. It supports the various functions involved in the preparation of contracts and agreements.

It manages tenders. It ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (81/2008). It ensures compliance with the Privacy Law (196/2003).

Quality, Customer Care & Environment

This function ensures that corporate system certifications are maintained by defining and monitoring the compliance of the airport service levels.

It ensures customer satisfaction, including both passengers and airlines, by defining and planning service quality objectives and standards in coordination with the Managing Director/CEO and with the other corporate functions; it monitors the maintenance of preset image, reputation and quality standards, both in the provision of services and in the infrastructure, through a cross-functional coordination of the actions required to achieve said objectives.

Commercial Aviation

This function supports the development of passenger, cargo and mail traffic in order to achieve corporate objectives in terms of traffic, costs and revenue.

Commercial Non-Aviation & Real Estate

This function seeks and develops new business activities with external partners. It ensures the management and maintenance of both directly managed and sub-concession commercial non-aviation activities, as well as the development of the real estate management business.

Maintenance & Energy Department

This department takes care of the overall compliance of the airport and its operations with the applicable legislation concerning airport operations within the framework of the Operator’s competencies regarding the planning and implementation of maintenance activities. It manages the actual maintenance activities, whether they are carried out internally or by outsourcers. It prepares and implements the energy management and efficiency plan of the Company by organising all energy related activities.
